Builders Workshop, a luxury residential contractor with decades of experience in Los Angeles, has launched RESET, a comprehensive rebuilding program for Pacific Palisades residents affected by the wildfires. Four leading architecture firms—EYRC, Montalba Architects, RIOS, and Woods + Dangaran—have collaborated with RESET to create ready-to-submit home designs that balance resilience, livability, and thoughtful design. Working with leading architecture firms ensures the community can rebuild faster and enjoy architectural excellence for years to come.
RESET was created to address the biggest challenges homeowners face in rebuilding after a disaster like the Palisades Fire. The new initiative combines the ready-to-submit designs, pricing transparency, streamlined construction, and a clearer, more credible path to insurability through a collaboration with Marsh McLennan.
“Inspired by the legacies of Joseph Eichler and Ingvar Kamprad, RESET bridges the legacy of the Palisades with the promise of what’s next, thoughtfully designed, built with care, and ready to rebuild the neighborhood with intention,” says the program.
Every home features a 4-foot grid system and is constructed with non-combustible, cold-formed steel framing by Ghost Factory, helping accelerate construction, reduce material waste, improve compatibility with prefabricated components, and create more resilient homes. The program rethinks wildfire design by simplifying form and material strategies to reduce ignition risk.
“RESET is a collaboration with four of Los Angeles’s most distinguished architecture firms, and the 4-foot grid was never a constraint on their creativity,” says Geoff Hackett, founder of Builders Workshop. “Working within that system pushed our design partners to focus on what matters most: clean lines, thoughtful proportions, and the kind of spatial efficiency that makes a home feel considered rather than constructed.”
