MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects, known for its muscular, modern houses in Nova Scotia, Canada, is opening an American outpost (or should we say “inpost?”) in Denver. The firm has won many national and international design awards, primarily for its residential work, but is now embarked on some larger projects in the tony Summit Powder Mountain resort in Utah. See the article in Canadian Architect magazine to learn more about the firm’s new office and the article in The Atlantic about the resort build out.
