LG Electronics USA has opened its Experience & Design Center in Napa Valley, CA, showcasing nearly 200 LG home appliances, including its newest built-in luxury brand, Signature Kitchen Suite. The multi-million-dollar center is designed to provide visitors – including retailers, designers and builders – with unique culinary, design and technology experiences using the live appliances.
The centerpiece of the 23,000-sq.-ft. facility is the Signature Kitchen Suite demonstration kitchen, equipped with pieces from the line designed for Technicureans, a new generation of cooks who combine their passion for food with their appreciation for innovation, according to the company. Product experts and onsite executive chefs will provide hands-on training that brings the Technicurean lifestyle to life, in partnership with local wineries and produce farms as suppliers.
The Signature Kitchen Suite appliances demonstrated in the Experience & Design Center include a pro-style range available with built-in sous vide modality on the cooktop. Consistent with Signature Kitchen Suite’s “true to food” philosophy, the luxury appliances also include built-in column refrigerators and freezers, new wine coolers and more.
Another key feature of the design center, which features more than 20 vignettes, is the AI Lifestyle Zone that showcases LG’s artificial intelligence technology and smart home innovations. LG offers a wide selection of Wi-Fi-enabled appliances, and the Center shows how LG home appliances help enable designers, builders and dealers to create a smart home ecosystem for their clients.
The Experience & Design Center will primarily operate as a hub for brand immersions with VIP dealer sales associates, designers, builder and influencers throughout the year, according to Dan Song, global president of the LG Home Appliance & Air Solutions Company. “This best-in-class design center builds on LG’s rich history of technology prowess and outstanding design and is yet another example of how the company continues to drive momentum and challenge the industry with innovative thinking, purposeful design and leading-edge technologies to meet unmatched needs in the marketplace,” said Song.
“The opening of this state-of-the-art design center marks a key milestone for LG home appliances in the U.S., providing our partners with unique interactive brand experiences across our product portfolio,” said William Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics North America.
Zach Elkin, general manager of Signature Kitchen Suite and LG for Builders, said, “Already one of the world’s foremost culinary destinations thanks to its top-rated wineries, restaurants and education centers, Napa Valley is the ideal location. Establishing our base here gives us unmatched access to the best vintners, farmers, ranchers, fisherman and other craftspeople that are living out a mission every day that is true to food.”
While spotlighting multiple Signature Kitchen Suite kitchens, the Experience & Design Center also features kitchen and laundry lifestyle vignettes with LG SIGNATURE, LG STUDIO and LG Brand home appliances. Beyond home appliances, the immersive experience at the design center is enhanced by LG commercial displays, including dramatic LG OLED videowalls, surfaces by LG Electronics sister company LG Hausys, custom cabinetry and various surfaces and fixtures from Ann Sacks, Kohler and Waterworks, to name a few.
The Experience & Design Center was designed with environmental sustainability at its core, incorporating LG commercial air conditioning and LG LED lighting systems. The new facility is also 100-percent powered by renewable energy and carbon neutral certified, further underscoring LG’s commitment to greener living.
