The AZEK Company announced the completion of its purchase of Versatex, a manufacturer of engineered cellular PVC products. The acquisition is intended to provide AZEK with an additional growth platform for expanding the company’s building envelope offerings.
Versatex, based in Pittsburgh, manufactures and sells exterior trim, sheet, moldings and other products with a range of building applications.
“AZEK’s acquisition of Versatex further expands and diversifies our broad portfolio of high-quality home exterior and outdoor living products that help contractors, builders, developers and homeowners beautify homes,” said AZEK CEO Jesse Singh. “Versatex’s focus on exterior trim and moldings will complement our presence in exterior decking, trim, moldings and columns, and Versatex’s strength in sales execution will be a strong counterpart to our R&D and material science capabilities.
“It is our plan to maintain Versatex’s go-to-market approach and existing distribution model post-close,” Singh added.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
